Keep in mind the NS NDP isn't doing badly in polling by any means. Rather their issues is the PLQ one where they are just too concentrated in a FPTP election. They really got cut the budget going for Halifax focus and spread it elsewhere since they probably already it locked.
For the NS by-election, PCs definitely had a good candidate. As for the NS LIBs, despite polling in 3rd, they still are the main choice against the PCs outside Halifax so even if they don't flip any in Halifax, they can still gain seats. That ties in with the NS NDP.
@CDNprojections@TheNightTravelr I also suspect the PCs had a very good local candidate to raise their vote % considering Houston's approvals. The beauty of local power in Atlantic Canada I must say (PEI likes to amp it up with steroids though).
Literally the only way that happens is if the OLP picks Bains and the ONDP membership somehow changes their perspectives and not knife Stiles if she starts to stagnate again post OLP Leadership Race.
NEW: Premier Doug Ford fumes about the OPSEU protest at Ford Fest, but insists he will lead the Tories to a fourth majority victory in the next election.

@10jmcda@avilewis@LeahGazan Lmao. The fact you blocked me over the fact that p*rn bots followed me out of my control shows your the idiot here on top of the fact you want to release dangerous chemicals for something that will cause harm for no benefit. You Liberals are just as bad as PP stans
@10jmcda@avilewis@LeahGazan That doesn't work that way buddy. If they fly into the country, they are not going to sit in one spot. You have about as good of a chance at eradicating mosquitoes in the country. The only thing the banned pesticides will do is one, posioj our food supply. Two, only kill in..
@10jmcda@avilewis@LeahGazan ...specific spots without actually addressing the problem. Turning a problem from bad to worse. Rather than using the proven sterile males release method.
@10jmcda@avilewis@LeahGazan Pesticides that are banned are banned because they increase the risk of health issues like cancer. That's why they are banned in many countries
@10jmcda@avilewis@LeahGazan And so do ticks, mosquitoes (most dangerous animal on earth), black flies and etc. Pesticides aren't going to help with human targets.
@10jmcda@avilewis@LeahGazan And we can still release sterile males en masse to address the issue long-term. But nope, increasing risk of people getting health problems like cancer is apparently the corporate neoliberal solution of the day.
@10jmcda@avilewis@LeahGazan Your the one choosing to be stupid because your solution is using something harmful to fight something harmful. Literally fighting fire with fire. And no we don't have to cull every animal that gets infected either. As seen with Avian Flu, we only targeted infected animals.
@10jmcda@avilewis@LeahGazan That's why culling exists. And we also have one of the strictest meat regulations in the world. They are not going to be going for sale. Instead the animal would be culled. You wishing me to get one makes you Liberals as bad as the PP stans.
@10jmcda@avilewis@LeahGazan I do know how to think because I ain't a blind partisan. And so what if it does take some time. At least it's sustainable long-term rather than spraying chemicals already deemed harmful to human health. It's literally common sense that sacrificing human health is bad.
@10jmcda@avilewis@LeahGazan Like I don't know who has worse partisanship logic. Carney stans or Poilievre stans since zi jave seen defence for things that should never be defended on ethical grounds and would complain if the other side did it.
@10jmcda@avilewis@LeahGazan The poisoning will come from food consumption eaten by banned chemicals because of bullshit reasons. Sterile males do control the population and was successful because they compete with fertile males. Why use a dangerous chemical when we have a proven solution.
@10jmcda@avilewis@LeahGazan Still shouldn't be used because "special circumstances" when it comes to food. We have regulations on food for health and safety reasons. Your the one lacking that logic. I literally work in food service and we don't spray chemicals deemed harmful to clean produce.

...obsessed with gas taxes that people don't care about enough if Carney just does them. A flip from one of the by-elections would be a way to dent Carney since it would signal discontent in some areas rather than it building up quietly.
Now why is Carney still so popular despite his announcements? I say the biggest reason by behind it is Poilievre himself. Guy gets way more coverage than other opposition leader, yet is incredibly useless that it took him how long to get something good while still being...
