Had a friend this happened to. Apparently PS Support is outsourced to some South American country and there are allegedly those outsourced PS support agents that help the “hackers” acquire accounts, and Sony doesn’t care or even bother to know what’s going on (as usual they are completely oblivious). Has been going on for years.

@realradec If it’s a fat PS3, it’s probably the issue mine has, where if there’s a game that has moments that require more power it freezes or yellow lights because the internal power supply system is failing and those power supply modules would basically need replacing
