Why Nigerians Must Pay Attention to the Senate’s Stand on Real-Time E-transmission of Election Results.
Nigerians, this is not just politics. This is about your vote, your voice, and your future. 🇳🇬
The 10th Senate, led by Godswill Akpabio, is refusing to make real-time electronic transmission of election results mandatory. Instead, they are adding conditions.
Let’s break it down:
They are saying results can be transmitted electronically... BUT
Not necessarily in real-time
Manual collation can still be used. Why keep manual options open in 2027? 🤔
We all know what happens with manual collation:
📌 Delays
📌 Tampering
📌 Disputed results
We’ve seen this movie before.
Real-time electronic transmission means:
✔️ Results are uploaded instantly
✔️ No room for alteration
✔️ Full transparency
So why avoid making it compulsory?
Let’s be honest this “condition” creates a loophole.
A loophole big enough for:
👉 Manipulation
👉 Result doctoring
👉 Electoral fraud.
They say it’s about “network issues” and “technical challenges.” But the question is:
Are we fixing the system or protecting its weaknesses?
Because if transparency is truly the goal, then real-time transmission should not be OPTIONAL… It should be LAW.
Many Nigerians are asking the same question:
What are they afraid of?
Why hesitate to pass a law that protects the people’s mandate?
Again 2027 is coming.
And this decision will determine whether our elections are:
"Credible OR Questionable"
This is not about party.
This is not about tribe.
This is about DEMOCRACY🇳🇬✊.
If your vote can be changed before it is seen, then your vote does not count...... Read that again.
Nigeria deserves better.
We deserve a system where:
✔️ Votes are counted
✔️ Results are protected
✔️ The people decide
No conditions. No loopholes. No manipulation. Just transparency.
Raise your voice.
Demand accountability.
Demand real-time e-transmission.
Because a free and fair election should never come with conditions.

The price of cooking gas this morning just soared to N2,400 per kg, now approaching 3,000.
We have never in the history of this country had it this terrible.
You know the funny thing? It’s only going to get worse.
How are we going to survive this?
