Something I noticed in this fandom is that most people refuse to apply logic once they are confronted with a theme or character that isn’t to their liking. They will come up with the most nonsensical “theory” in order to convince themselves that their dislike for it is valid. Makes me wonder, why do you need validation anyway, if you’re so sure about your opinion and feelings?

If you don’t like a theme / character you can step away from it. There is no need to convince anyone that you absolutely do not like the content presented to you. Most people these days can’t be like „I don’t like it.“ and move on to the things they like, instead they make everything they claim to hate / dislike their entire personality.

If you only surround yourself with negativity, you can’t expect to find happiness.

My personal opinion about the management at Infold is that, bc they are privately owned, they don’t have pressure from shareholders, which reduces the incentive to hire based on merit and allows more room for “networking” hires or straight up nepohires (isn’t one of the higher ups YRH’s nephew?)

In a normal business, incompetence would be punished with firing ofc. But it seems Infold prefers to keep their bad decision makers due to personal sentiment. (Either that or YRH is personally making all of the bad decisions every time one of their games explodes lol)

Papergames has succeeded on the backs of their creative workers and has stumbled their way upward into international recognition despite mgmt, not bc of it

Also this is something that isn’t really talked about on global but the way they’ve handled the change of JP VA for Zayne has been infuriating.

For starters, they’ve for some reason only announced information on JP twitter as if ppl from other servers/regions don’t use JP voices. This is not just lack of communication, this is lack of care about your fanbase and, frankly, the strangest siloing for a “global” game. Do they think only CN players use Chinese? Do they think all global players use English? All Korean players only Korean? Why isn’t it even worth a mention for other servers? When changing a VA mid-production is one of the biggest things that can possibly happen in an otome. I mean just look at the difference between the handling of Zayne and the handling of Asmodeus(sp?) in Obey Me. The difference in respect towards the fans and the VA are infuriatingly different

ON top of that, originally they stated that content would begin being replaced in late August and then when GoA dropped last month they very suddenly added in a footnote of the JP announcement ONLY that “oh btw GoA will change VA tomorrow byeee” and that’s the way we find out that they would be changing the voice lines as rerun content released? Really?

Add that oversight to their long list of lies and lack of communication. And you might say “well they announced months ago, you had all that time to record” but that’s not the point. The point is communication. The point is suddenly going back on their stated timeline without notice. The point is the lack of respect not only for the VA leaving but the VA joining.

Anyway I’m just working myself up now and ranting. But this has also been on my mind the entire last month on top of Valko and both combined have made it impossible for me to accept the management of this game.
