I hate having to put a game on pause. It makes me feel as though I've given up on it. That being said I think sometimes a rotation is necesaary so you have a fresh mind when you come back to it.
It was an absolute honor to be gifted some amazing Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter merch from @fragmentums@BracerGuildShop!
It's one of my favorite places to buy Trails items, and the store has a summer sale through July 4.
If you're a Falcom fan, what are you waiting for?
I like that some athletes are rejecting promoting gambling and sports betting. I genuinely think gambling is a degenerate hobby and a major reason why sports seem so blatantly rigged nowadays. Sports betting is trash, idc how you feel about it. Waste of money.
If the future of gaming is really going “all digital” then there has to be something put in place for individuals and their ownership rights. It can’t just be pulled away from folks at a moment’s notice. This is why there is outrage. This is why people are speaking out.
“I haven’t bought physical media in years, so this doesn’t affect me.”
Then shut up and let the people it does affect talk.
Some of us actually give a damn about owning what we pay for, preserving games properly, and not bending over every time a company decides “digital only” is the future and everyone should just accept it.
So if physical media means nothing to you, fine. But stop acting like your apathy is some kind of argument, because it’s not.
@DeeGeeGames2009 The mentality that people with this just shows how social media produces apathy and just general lack of understanding We care about physical media and want it to continue being an option not just for us but even new people coming into gaming
"I didn't have my car stolen, why are you so upset about it?"
"I didn't get bullied in school, why are you so upset about it?"
"My dog didn't die, why are you so upset about it?"
"My flight didn't get cancelled, why are you so upset about it?"
Tiny brain behavior.
@ScrambledFaz I wish someone would convince Atlus that there are plenty of games doing expansions / DLC years later now. They've usually been the kings of this shit (FES, Golden, Royal) so come on lol
@TheEggman64 Imagine believing this nonsense.
They are doing this to cut costs, increase profits, and control prices / kill the used game market. Plenty of people buy physical games.
I completely understand where you’re coming from, but for a lot of gamers physical discs are the only way they could afford to play games because they could get them secondhand. You can also give games to your younger siblings Which is a great way to introduce them to the games you were playing.
Most importantly though, as we saw from PlayStation this past week, if the media we buy is only digital, it can be taken away from us at a moment’s notice with no recourse. Imagine that, one day your entire library of games could be deleted overnight because technically you don’t own it.
