Romulan civilian, gardener on the estate of Commander L. Charvanek. Zhamaq champion. Definitely not a spy. (Fictional character, #StarTrekRP) #Rihannsu
"One space is left empty at the table - for the invisible player, or the hand of Fate."
---
Just a plain, simple Romulan civilian. Enjoys gardening and playing cards. Listens carefully, says little. Absolutely not a suspicious character at all.

Here M'Ret's eyes widened in an exaggerated expression of horror. "Mid-life?!" His hand flew to his heart theatrically. "Have I really let myself go that much that I appear to have reached *mid-life*?!"
But then he chuckled and met Kelas' gaze warmly. He nodded down the hall -
@KelasParmak M'Ret still carried the cards with him, years later, their edges frayed and worn from being turned over and over again in his pockets. They had become something of a ritual object, their meaning abstract.
Kelas' sharp eyes clearly saw him toying with four bits of painted paper.
M’Ret shrugged and spread his hands in a gesture of openness. “Oh, a bit of sightseeing, visiting some ancient historical sites, maybe take a course on desert botany…”
Then he glanced sidelong at Kelas. “And searching for an old friend of mine, who I believe might be alive.”
“The kind that grows unobtrusive in the shadows,” he replies smoothly.
He looks intensely at Kelas again, and takes a leap of faith.
“I seek passage to Vulcan,” he murmurs. “Papers that will not raise suspicion, an identity we’ll cloaked, and a ship that is legitimate enough.”
He always has been a bold little vagabond. Does he actually trust Kelas with this secret? Or is he just hoping to stir up some entertaining trouble?
Both.
@EstelyaOfCosmos @CrimsonZabrak //for example, one time a dear friend of mine 😉 had their character attempting to scale a shelf in a warehouse, and if memory serves, rolled a 2. Said character fell to the floor in a heap and alerted every guard in earshot, but like….survived lol.
@EstelyaOfCosmos @CrimsonZabrak //but for the most part I used it as a VERY loose guideline, the goal is still creative storytelling and not rule-following, but I love literally rolling the dice when inspiration strikes (or fails lol) and seeing what the fates have in mind for a scene 😆
[Quietly exploring DS9. M’Ret has seen a lot and traveled far, but he’s never actually managed to sneak onto a Federation starbase before. He thinks his Vulcan-style clothing and placid expression are all the disguise he needs. He is, most likely, wrong…]
I wish we explored the political fallout of these Romulan officials defecting to the Federation as well as Spock’s ‘Underground Railroad.’ There was so much story left unexplored here.

//34 here. I will be delighted to write with anyone over 18 who doesn’t think I’m old and creepy. 😆
I don’t really write anything too explicit, so read at your discretion, but the hard line for interaction has to be 18. I was raised on paranoid-level internet safety, sorry.
A shrug. “And, as it happens, this is where I needed to go. In search of rather important…seeds, let’s say. The kind too easily carried by a careless wind.”
“Most of the time, yes,” M’Ret replies, in a tone between evasiveness and weary nonchalance. “It’s a big planet, after all.”
He chuckles and taps his long fingers against the side of his own teacup, dark half-moons of garden dirt still visible under his fingernails.
“I’ve come into possession of a magnificent house, have the right to not one but two noble names, associates in high places and one in particular who can get me exactly the papers I need to go where I need to go.” He lightly fingers his burgundy cravat.-
