We are heartbroken by the passing of legendary R&B singer Peabo Bryson. His performance of "A Whole New World,” with Regina Bell, from Disney’s Aladdin was the first-ever song from an animated film to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and we will forever treasure his performance on the song as well as his performance of "Beauty and the Beast,” with Celine Dion, from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

It’s metastatic bone cancer that spread from the prostate. They caught the bone issue quite early and with radiation and hormone therapy it’s under control, but he will live with cancer for the rest of his life. Listen man- I understand if you don’t like my Dad’s politics and you hate me because you believe everything Fox News has told you. I’m fine with that, but my Dad has cancer. I’m heartbroken to hear that we lost Peabo Bryson today.  His incredible voice and his kind spirit embodied the beauty of song and performance.  He was so wonderful and generous to me all those years ago, when we recorded Beauty and the Beast. He made me so comfortable, as I was just learning to sing in English.  He will remain for me always as a real symbol of the joy that music has brought to my life. His voice and his talent will be missed…
