I must admit, you are 100% correct about this Admin. I hate when people exaggerate, but this Administration must be the most incompetent and immoral in American history when it comes to foreign policy. Trump has sped up the process and put the final nail in the coffin for the Pax Americana.

I get your point. Obviously America has shifted attention away from Europe and towards other strategic regions. It has been doing this since arguably the Cold War. All I'm saying is that at best a region like East Asia will be on equal footing with Europe for strategic importance for any competent US Administration.

America has demographic and economic reasons to be interested in Europe. But China is still a major trading partner and competitor, and Japan and Korea are some of our staunchest allies.

Europe may be #1 for the U.S. but Latin America and East Asia are still in 2nd place, which counts for a lot.

Also hypothetically a nation could just be majority Amish but have special economic zones where they allow for technological research and development so that they can have a military for defense and protection. Like a symbiotic relationship, the Amish provide the manpower for war and labor while the cities provide the weapons.
