A gun in one hand. A Bible in the other.
I’ve lived long enough to know that some weeks bring both danger and darkness. And that life can be beautiful and brutal in the same week.
There are wars you must fight (brutally if it needs to) as a man and battles you surrender to God because no weapon can fix what only grace can heal.
A grown man learns the difference. Carry discernment. Carry faith. Some wars need you standing. Some need you on your knees. Because foolish men pull triggers at problems that wise men take to God.
I’ve survived versions of myself I thought would never make it. That’s why I don’t panic when life gets hard. I’ve been broken before and still rebuilt. I know I can do it again.
it is an unwritten rule of life that after every prolonged period of hardship and uncertainty, there is going to be a period when you are going to achieve quantum leaps across multiple areas of your life. the only requirement is that you do not give up on yourself.
A broke man notices everything. Who laughed. Who stayed. Who spoke gently. Who treated him like he was already becoming something. A broke man notices who still calls him “brother.”
Allow things to collapse totally.
Stop repairing every bridge that keeps collapsing beneath you. Some things must end without another apology or explanation. Let it go.
There’s life beyond that broken chapter and your destiny is waiting ahead, not behind you.
@Ade4youuuuxk Be addicted to the belief that whatever happens to you and wherever life takes you, you’ll be able to handle it and make the best of it. But don’t become addicted to expecting miracles. Life is a journey of ups and downs.
Time goes by so fast.
You need to not be afraid of anything.
Live your life without regrets.
See set backs as side quests.
We all have to die someday.
Knowing this is comforting and terrifying at the same time.
But no matter when, everything must end for everyone one day.
I finally understand what Machiavelli meant when he said, "Never play fair in a game where others cheat." It doesn't mean become evil. It means stop being naive. Stop bringing honesty to people who study manipulation, stop giving access to people who weaponize closeness, and stop expecting clean hands from people who already showed you they'll throw dirt.
Sometimes wisdom is not revenge.
Sometimes wisdom is learning the rules of the room before the room uses your goodness against you.
Turn around. Face the thing you've been avoiding. Face it once, properly, and it shrinks. It's not be as big as your mind has been billing it.
Just stop showing it your back. Stop running away. Deal with it. Deal with them as they come. Humans and situations... face them.
