I've been on #Bluesky for 2 days now.

The platform is basically identical to this one, except the folks who converse with me can spell, and I'm not being inundated with a bunch of right-wing, inbred, mouth-breathing idiots, posting misinformation.

"Babe Ruth didn’t say a word. He didn’t even look around or up at me. He just picked himself up and walked away.”
Rogers Hornsby, Game 7,`26 World Series
Game ended with Babe Ruth getting caught stealing in the bottom of the 9th, Yankees down by 1 run & Lou Gehrig on deck.
But, Ruth wasn’t stealing second base. The hit-and-run play was on, Ruth got hung out to dry when his teammate, Bob Meusel missed his pitch.
Meusel signaled to Ruth for the hit-and-run. The Sporting News reported that “Meusel, after swinging viciously at the first pitch, put on the hit and run with the Babe on the next pitch.”
“The first time I saw Hank Aaron in Spring Training, he had ‘major league’ written all over him. He was one of those guys who comes around maybe once every 100 years."
Andy Pafko
Hank Aaron hit his first of 755 home runs, in his 7th game, April 23rd, 1954
It's so much better over there. Not sure how long I'll stay on this app. Too much negativity and too many ads here. The other one is much more pleasant. I hope I'll see you over there 🫡
