So yesterday and today we learned that prostration and prayer is unbiblical and a source of pride and vanity.
In fact, the only time you can pray is in your closet. Not at church because that is performative.
Boy weâve been doing Christianity wrong for 2,000 years guys. Have you all set up your prayer closets where you chat with God? Oh wait you canât put anything in there because it would be idolatry and false worship. Empty closet only.
So donât forget to get in your closet and chat with God tonight. NO ROTE PRAYERS EITHER! I better not hear The Lordâs Prayer either. Vain repetitions are forbidden.
Silly Catholics and their performative nonsense!
So I watched "The Passion of the Christ" last night. And I am on my back deck tonight thinking.
Think about this.
In the movie, they have beaten him to near death and when they first take him to his cross, Jesus clings to it, and the thief chastised him for embracing his own cross. Mocking him for doing so.
Then Christ gave all he had to carry that cross which weighed as much as him.. They beat him while he did. It came to the point that his physical body couldn't carry it any longer, so a man was ordered to carry it with him. Yet Christ still clung to the cross.
Do you know why?
Because he knew at the other end of that short journey was OUR freedom. Not his.... OURS..... with every single step, with every drop of blood, with every single tear, he knew he was one moment closer to being at the right hand of the Father and his mission complete to free us all.
The man embraced the cross. Begged God to forgive the men nailing him to it. Begged God to forgive those that had beaten him with whips and canes and hammered a crown of thorns on his head.
He embraced it all.... for US......
And now, when times get hard and life gets even slightly uncomfortable, we claim that "God isn't listening and won't take my burden" as if we even know what a real burden is...
How many times would we cling to the proverbial cross for another and suffer as he did to free them from the pain? Would we ever do it at all? Maybe for our own child? Maybe?
As you lay down tonight, pray a prayer of thanks. Not for the normal things. Not tonight. Tonight, pray a special prayer of thanks that he held on to that cross and carried it as far as his mortal body would allow... because that took more dedication than any of us could give for anyone.
By the time you wake up in the morning, he will have risen, 2000 years ago. He will have beat death. 2000 years ago, all the sin you and I will ever commit was paid for because he clung to that cross like it was a lifeline.... not for him... But for you and me.
Today on the feast day of St Joseph, marks the 3 year anniversary of the day God miraculously changed my life forever at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. From transgender to traditional Catholic.
Iâm not the same person.
Gods greatness made evident in my weakness.

Her theory is that turning point USA had went from its original mission of free speech to this intense Zionist agenda. He found some financial irregularities and started looking into it. He also started not wanting to support Israel and was experiencing intense backlash from within. Since one of Erika Kirkâs ex boyfriends works there too, and now that we have seen what happened immediately following his death, it appears that Erika was put in his place after a âhostile takeover.â
Erikaâs family are a bunch of petty scumbags and Erika has been caught lying about her sexual history. Sheâs also been caught talking in a sexually inappropriate way to a 9th grader.
Turning point USA is a key apparatus to the Israel project and the military industrial complex and Charlie was pulling away from that and about to potentially uncover financial fraud in a ânon profitâ that isnât supposed to engage in politics in order to keep its tax exemption.
The patsy they claim did it could not have done it with the claimed weapon. The entire investigation was less than 2 days, they destroyed the crime scene, and Erika not only doesnât want to know who killed her husband but she aggressively rages against anyone looking into it.
Means. Motive. Opportunity.
The potential conspiracy is obvious but we canât have concrete evidence without an investigation. Kash Patel aggressively rejects any investagtuon outside of the guy they grabbed immediately. Who couldnât have done it the way they claim.
That is completely reasonable, logical, and anyone who cares about Charlie Kirk would pursue that so he gets justice.
The massive backlash Candace is getting and the manipulative âhow dare you attack a widowâ who is a public figure CEO who is on a book tour is extremely suspicious and has turned the public against Erika Kirk.
The gaslighting of âCandace and her cult have destroyed turning pointâ is pathetic and even more evidence of a conspiracy. Erika Kirk has been a trainwreck and has destroyed her husbands legacy. Aside from money, every other metric has tanked since his death which should have been the opposite.
Hope that helps
A few months ago, a lady made this post: âIf you want to have a close relationship with God, the Catholic Church is not the best place for you.â She used to be a Catholic.
Yesterday, this same lady shared that after months of exploring other churches, she has finally found one that meets her spiritual longing. For that, I sincerely thank God with her. When it comes to matters of faith and religion, every person is free to choose, because there is a deep quest for God written in every human heart.
That said, what troubles me is turning a personal experience into a general conclusion. I am a Catholic, not simply because I was born into it, but because I have chosen to live it and the Catholic Church has profoundly deepened my relationship with God.
Through the Holy Mass, where Christ gives Himself to us in Word and Sacrament; through the Blessed Sacrament, where we encounter Jesus truly present; through the Sacrament of Reconciliation where I encounter the mercy of God; through the Scriptures, prayers, and the rich spiritual tradition of the Church, many of us grow daily in intimacy with God.
The lady's problem (like many others) is that she simply inherited the Catholic faith from her parents without making efforts to own it. It is not enough to be born Catholic; one must make the effort to become Catholic. When that effort is made, the Church is not an obstacle to encountering God - it is one of the deepest schools of communion with Him.
If this pops up on your TL, please help me get it to Ada.
Dear Ada, this is day 2 of my sincere effort to reach you. Please donât be angry with me. I know I should have done better by believing you when we met at the restaurant the other day. That wasn't my way of doing things.
I found your phone yesterday, 29/01/2026, under the seat where you sat. I charged the phone, hoping that any of your contact would call you, so they can lead me to you. But I noticed you've blocked the line, and there's no other way I can reach you; hence I resorted to this public appeal.
If you ever come across this, please DM me or meet me immediately after 8am Mass on Sunday, by the grotto side of my parish, where you attended Christmas carol last year .
Husbands: your income can hide your absence.
Your wife pays for it in ways money canât cover.
I listened to two Catholic homeschooling wives talk for 80+ minutes.
They didnât complain. They built systems. They carried heavy loads. They also described what many wives canât say without sounding âungrateful.â
A wife can live with a good man and still feel lonely.
Hereâs the trap: a lot of husbands keep a âbare minimum checklist.â
Mass. Grace. Work. A hug. A kiss. Bills paid. Kids safe.
Many wives see the list and think: He does his duties.
Then they feel the ache: He doesnât give me himself.
Duties matter. Engagement builds marriage.
The home runs on a control tower your wife operates all day. She tracks school, meals, appointments, moods, mess, prayer, money, and you. She carries it in her head. Then late afternoon hits and her brain overloads. Words stop. Patience drains. Kids keep talking. One wife said it perfectly: âMove me.â
High-income men fall into a predictable pattern. You solve problems at work. You expect clear signals. You wait for requests. You assume the home runs on the same rules.
But families donât run on request tickets.
A home fails quietly. A wife doesnât explode like a business crisis. She drains. She freezes. She goes numb. Then she still makes dinner.
If you want one concrete place to lead, start here: protect the table.
No phone. No game. No scrolling. No half-presence.
One wife said it straight: the kids canât have screens, but Dad checks his phone at dinner. That single detail tells her, âWork still owns you.â Leadership looks like a man who gives his family the best of his attention, not the leftovers.
Then build one simple rhythm and own it.
Donât say, âTell me what you need.â
Say, âI own one anchor now.â
Choose one and make it normal:
- Ten-minute family reset before bedtime
- Kitchen close-down every night
- Sunday reset after Mass
- A fixed ârestore timeâ each afternoon
Small systems produce big peace.
Now add the missing piece most high-income men skip: re-entry leadership. When you walk in the door, you set the emotional weather.
Try this for seven days:
Phone away. Eye contact. Kiss.
Then one sentence: âIâm home. How was your day?â
You donât need to fix everything in that moment. You need to show up as a man who is present. Your wife reads that as protection.
This matters for your marriage in a way money canât touch.
One wife said the quiet part out loud: âIâm supposed to be this cheerful, vibrant, interesting wife⊠wait.â She wants to give you warmth, but she canât give what she no longer has.
Order gives romance oxygen. Presence gives her nervous system rest. Leadership gives her heart safety.
When your wife feels supported and pursued, she often responds with more warmth, more admiration, and more closeness. You earn that by leading the environment, not by demanding a mood.
Provision matters. Leadership matters more.
Money pays the bills. Presence pays the bond.
Your family wants YOU.
If youâre a husband: whatâs the one âanchorâ you can own this week?
If youâre a wife: what would change your life if your husband protected it?
Bro to sis: Please marry for everything.
Marry for his love for God.
Marry for looks and love.
Marry for his ability to communicate, be romantic, and considerate.
Marry for his financial stability and discipline.
Marry for shared goals, values, and purpose.
Marry for common sense.
I too am 37. One of the biggest things Iâve discovered is that the path to peace is not intense introspection, itâs activity. One full, productive day results in better emotions than hours of self-exploration
OK, I definitely don't want to be one to defend Candace Owens, and I'm not really (don't really know the point she's making), but as someone who has lived in the Midwest all his life:
Just because the air temperature is 30, doesn't mean ice won't melt.
Air temperature isn't the only factor in ice melting.
The trees are usually dark, which absorbs heat from sunlight, and on a sunny 30-degree day, ice on trees WOULD in fact melt.
Same with ice/snow on a roof. A high-20s or 30 degree day would definitely see the roof dripping at least a little.
I came across this post about priests not giving enough time for the faithful to add their private intentions during the Prayer of the Faithful at Mass.
I know the person that made the post is not alone on this issue. I remember a parishioner who once walked up to me to ask why we do not give them enough time to finish their personal intentions at that moment.
Here is the thing: at Mass, the Prayer of the Faithful is important, but it is not the only moment for prayer (remember that in some places, the prayer of the faithful is even omitted at weekday Masses), nor the only time our intentions are meant to be offered to God. In fact, the whole Mass is prayer - a single, sacred movement of offering, thanksgiving, intercession, and communion.
Even before Mass begins, the faithful are encouraged to come prepared, already holding in their hearts the intentions they wish to place on the altar. The Mass is not something we improvise spiritually; we enter it intentionally.
There are many moments during the Mass when personal intentions can be offered:
https://t.co/veOfvDPTVk the Penitential Act, we bring before God our struggles, sins, and need for mercy.
2.During the Liturgy of the Word, the Word of God often speaks directly into our personal situations - this is a moment to silently unite our intentions with what we hear.
https://t.co/CdGHbPPSYP the Offertory, we are invited to place our lives, burdens, hopes, and intentions on the altar along with the bread and wine.
https://t.co/RIEVBpG9fc the Consecration, when Christ (through the priest) offers Himself to the Father, our intentions are most powerfully united to His sacrifice.
https://t.co/KBo0FnuEZH Holy Communion, we receive the Lord Himself - this is a privileged moment to entrust everything to Him in silence and intimacy.
6.Even after Communion, the quiet prayer that follows is deeply personal and profound.
The Prayer of the Faithful, therefore, is not meant to carry everything. It expresses the common prayer of the Church, while personal intentions quietly ride along within that larger prayer.
So yes, while a brief pause is helpful, the deeper invitation is this: learn to pray the entire Mass. When we do, we realize that God is listening - not just at one moment, but throughout the whole sacred celebration of the Mass.

Iâm sorry, but that should absolutely terrify you.
It terrifies me.
I donât sleep very well because I canât turn my brain off.
Ideas like this are the reason I take trazodone⊠or I wouldnât sleep.
Our tech leaders are saying the quiet part out loud now, out in public, like itâs a cute little vision board moment.
The future theyâre building is one where machines do everything, humans get paid to exist, and we all quietly retire into âcomfortâ like itâs a retirement plan instead of a slow-motion exit ramp from meaning.
Humans need purpose.
Not vibes.
I donât care how much abundance or money is involved.
I need to provide value.
Not âcontent consumption.â Not a permanent allowance.

I donât have the perfect solution. But I do know this, I really donât love the direction this is heading.
This is not good for us.
