Transforming perceptions. Undetectable = Untransmittable (U=U) is a vital public health message for the HIV response. It means that people living with HIV who achieve an undetectable viral load through consistent antiretroviral treatment and monitoring cannot transmit HIV.
By spreading awareness of U=U, we challenge misconceptions surrounding HIV transmission and promote understanding.

The past year was incredibly transformative for Ahaki, it solidified our vision and rolled out key initiatives that are essential for guaranteeing Ahaki’s continuity.” - Dr @MulumbaMoses_ during his opening remarks at day one of Ahaki’s beginning of year staff retreat.
In 2023, we celebrated some important wins crucial for the AIDS response. More countries repealed discriminatory laws against the LGBTQ community, which means today two-thirds of countries no longer criminalize consensual same-sex sex.
