🦎Meet Jess the beautiful bearded dragon who had a blood sample taken to check for any abnormalities.
A blood sample in a bearded dragon is taken from the ventral tail vein. It is a quick and non invasive procedure that bearded dragons tolerate well.

The lateral tail vein in rats is very useful for blood sampling and placing intravenous catheters. It's important to have access directly into a vein especially during anaesthesia.
