My cats are now at an age (both are 13) where they’re finally starting to slow down, and Athena has taken to watching TV with me. By far her favorite thing to watch is @DrawfeeShow (she also loves it when I play Animal Crossing).
@WyrmwoodGaming I have a couple of ideas.
The first is card tray (pictured for reference). They also make some that can swivel (one I saw uses magnets). I think it could fit in with your line.
The second idea is a modular end table. Perfect for living and bed rooms.
@DrawfeeShow Honestly, message notwithstanding, the political cartoon is really good. It nails the format. I wouldn’t agree with the message, but the only way to make it more perfect as a political cartoon would be for the cookie to read “Welfare” instead. Great job!
@Warlockdnd Skipping out on the first couple of levels is like starting Star Wars at the Battle of Yavin. It’s more exciting, but it’s not where the Hero’s Journey starts. The early struggles are what defines a hero, not the thing they have to do to unlock the Hero of the Rebellion subclass.
@scottjohnson Star Trek (Picard) Animal Crossing sounds like an amazing idea. Instead of an island, you could be running around on a starship of your choice, doing daily activities across the ship, customizing your quarters and crew member. I’d even keep the AC art style.
I hate alignment in #DnD. It’s reductive at best and disruptive at its worst. While I don’t use it in my games, I came up with a new alignment chart that I think can still be useful for those who need or want one (plus a copy that aligns with the current alignment chart).
@JoCat105 Do you plan on rerunning any of your old Goblin Plush Makeship campaigns? I got the GITD and Rogue, but I missed seeing the Wizard and was far too late to the party for the base one (I’d prob also get the Kobold). I’m sure I’m not the only one who missed past campaigns.
@DrawfeeShow @AttaBoyRalph Y’all should do Gooseberry Fool plushies, preferably with a bunch of color variants. You could run a campaign through Makeship, who does plushies in a kickstarter-like format. I backed a couple that @JoCat105 did, and it was a pleasant experience (at least on my side).
@MaikelYarimizu @exentrik137@JasonTDnDDM I’m not exactly sure why you’re dying on this hill. It’s a fun idea that actually makes more sense than our current system, even if the hurdle of converting the calendar would prevent it from ever happening. The better argument against it would be messing up quartet reporting.
@exentrik137 @MaikelYarimizu @JasonTDnDDM New Years Day and Leap day would exist during the week, but it would change the days year-over-year, so within the year it’ll stay aligned. So 2022 the months start on Monday, 2023 they start on Tuesday, and in 2024 they start on Thursday.
@Warlockdnd Literally was just talking about doing a D&D isekai where the players play themselves, but gaining D&D classes, a la the old D&D cartoon (maybe even in AL).
@JasonTDnDDM I had this thought, too. I also had an idea of 12 30 day months that has 5 6-day weeks (working 4-2s), with a Winter Holiday Week (5 or 6 days, year depending) that would basically start on Christmas and end on the new New Year’s Eve (or New Year’s Day).
@ACassDarkly Don’t get me wrong, this feels like a “tell me you don’t play D&D without saying you don’t play D&D” kind of thing, but then I remembered that there’s been a bunch of D&D novels (which I never read), so maybe they’re thinking that.
@BDaveWalters I get him. I’m extremely uncomfortable communicating my feelings verbally. Physical contact IS how I communicate affection. To the point where I hate being touched by anyone I’m not intimate with, but would rather feel violated being hugged than express my displeasure verbally.
@Warlockdnd As someone who’s basically only played 5E, I didn’t know this was a thing. I’ve been using their poison resistance to apply to alcohol tolerance (advantage on Con saves by drink strength). I’m gonna start using the spices part of that, but I’ll leave the bland food part behind.
@epicdndmemes Or go by Final Fantasy rules:
Oh, that guy? No, he’s not the boss. He was just some lackey. Here’s the real boss that’s like 30 times stronger. They’re so strong that you might need to recruit the former BBEG to have a chance at defeating them.
Not sure how many people play the fortune cookie game, where you add “in bed” at the end of the fortune, but I think I have a contender for the best one ever.
