Just a reminder that in 2025 the government made changes to the P3 visa system that made it harder to apply, take longer, cost more, and no longer give applicants a chance to correct applications that could be denied. Arbitrarily more difficult.

Since apparently most of new streamers forgot IRIAM TOS existed, I'll explain it in the most "simplest" way:

-Using Gen AI to make a PNG model IS BAD, stop using it to be lazy.
-Using a copyrighted character IS BAD!
-Sleep streams is a no-no.
-Streaming while driving is a BIG NO-NO, EYES ON THE ROAD!!!
-No minors allowed on IRIAM AT ALL, there's other platforms for entertainment.

From the field I work in, RFEs have gone up to pretty much 100% instead of it being a 50% chance. So probably every performer had to go through this dumb rigamarole to just be denied entry.

THE VISA CRISIS IN THE U.S.

The UMAMUSUME: Pretty Derby concert in L.A. was cancelled, the 4th after KPOPWORLD, TAEMIN and recently a prominent VA from Wuthering Waves that also was unable to enter the U.S. for the concert.

According to the USCIS, it is found that the backlogs of Performance visas have gotten worse, with 2026 nearly doubled in backlogs, from 3.5 months to 5.1 months median. After FY 2024, the length of finalization were delayed ever longer, indicating the current administration is behind these slower process times and tougher approvals to deter immigration visits.

Even if Cygames paid for premium processing (which is nearly $3,000 an individual), there's a 50/50 chance they will encountered a trap known as the Request For Evidence (RFE) trap which will push the approval clock back further. Being the concert having 17 performers, staff and production teams, the RFE would be the reason of the approval not finalized in those 6+ months.

According to USCIS processing times, 80% of non-premium visa cases are finalized in 13 months, more than the 6 months Cygames had to process, which whether premium or not, forced them to make an ultimatum and cancel the LA shows.

2026 has been the toughest year for international acts to perform in the country and many are feeling this pain and may continue unless companies apply far in advance, or there's changes in the government. Entertainment companies that had acts performed here have knowledge of the complications with the American visa process. @umamusume_eng

I work in an adjacent field to what's going on and I can tell you that it is 100% because of a certain political party that's at the head of the United States. They literally make everything worse.

It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the cancellation of the Umamusume: Pretty Derby – 7th EVENT: THE STAGE in LOS ANGELES concerts planned for Oct 22–23, 2026.

Although we have coordinated repeatedly with all parties concerned and explored every possible option in our efforts to make this event happen, we were unable to obtain the necessary visas for entry into the US, so we have come to the painful conclusion that holding the concerts is no longer possible.

To all the Trainers who were eagerly looking forward to the show, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern this causes, and for announcing this so close to the event date.

Due to this cancellation, we will process refunds for the following:
・On-site viewing tickets
・Streaming tickets

In addition, we are looking into possible responses to Trainers who were planning to attend the concert in person. This will take some time, so we ask for your patience. Details will be announced on the 7th EVENT WORLD TOUR official website.

Once again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes to all the Trainers who were eagerly looking forward to the concerts, as well as to the Umamusume cast, partner company staff, and everyone involved who put tremendous effort into making this event happen.
