@yoremeofga@CommanderRoot@BlackCatTeGreat Prime sub gives the streamer a fixed amount of money depending on where the viewer is located. It's not a 50/50 split of anything. In US it gives $2.25, which is less than 50% of what Tier 1 USED TO COST over 2 years ago, much less the current price. They are NOT the same thing.
@ImYungMan@TwitchSupport@zachbussey Yes. Amazon's models. Which they also use for other services besides Twitch, including those captions. It's Twitch staff pointing the blame at Amazon (who owns them) for this decision. The distinction only matters to them, not to any streamers or viewers.
@ImYungMan@TwitchSupport@zachbussey Not lying, just obfuscating. They're saying it's not "Twitch" using your Twitch data to train AI, it's Amazon. Which is a distinction nobody gives a shit about.
@TwitchSupport@zachbussey Many people have seen the preroll & midroll ad times longer than the previous limits recently. So either:
1. You're lying.
2. You don't know what you're talking about.
3. Your computers are doing things they're not supposed to do without your knowledge or consent.
@curlybdancer Probably depends on whether they're actually "ultra-rare" as they say in their docs, or if they flood the site with them so much in a short time period that everybody stops caring about it. Like they did with Badges.
@TubboTWO No streamers or viewers want it. I bet they're just putting it up there to try to crowd source the AI training aspect, so they can use it for their own separate internal purposes later. (Maybe monitoring for TOS violations or streamer behavior during sponsored segments, etc.)
@bbjess Yeah that's not how math works. Estimated ~15 million empty houses & 772k homeless. ie. Factor of ~19
If you'd just said there's millions more empty houses than homeless people it would be accurate.
