The best days of your life should always be ahead of you, not behind you
Lots of people talk about their college years or their 20s being the best, or being the prime of their life, or whatever
There’s some truth to that but also, like, why would you ever try and live a life where your best years are over with so soon?
I’m 38 this year, and life has never been better
I’m excited for my 40s and 50s and 60s and beyond
I’m gonna get to experience new things, travel to new places, start new hobbies or business endeavours, make new friends, hopefully grow my family, and all of this on top of enjoying all the things I currently do in life
Life is great and it’s possible for it to only get better as you get older.. the trade offs are some extra random aches and pains and saggy skin for a lifetime of built up wisdom and knowledge about who you are, what you like, and what you want out of life
@Khallid4397 @fantasy_sheets_ Second skip after common gaut to legendary, very happy with it 🙏 Getting ready for the new leagues, a lot of adjusting to be done, too many high star commons
In college, everyone tells you to savor the moment and that you will never be this young again
You hear it, perhaps even nod along, but it doesn’t quite register. The illusion of youth feels infinite, untouched by time and an endless road
Then a few years slip quietly by. Life begins to demand more of you. You slowly start to understand what people meant when they said that
You tell yourself that you still have time. You will come back to do all the things you promised yourself
Just one more challenging project at work, just one more promotion, just one more birthday, and you will get to it
Then one day you wake up and half a decade or decade has passed by, and youth feels like a dream from a generation ago
Over the years, the one lesson I have learned is that life passes you by extremely fast. If you are waiting to do something, go act on it today
