Once again, thank you to everyone who has been with me on this journey and feel free to message me if you'd like to add me on other social media. This page would not be what it is without all of you and I wish you the best!
Orlando Geographer signing out! Take care!
This account won't be deleted like the last one, but will remain inactive from this point. As my job has me moving around so much, I'll just leave the location as "somewhere in the world," which is as obscure as you can get considering it should've been just "Orlando"
This is a bittersweet moment as I'm sad to see this account end, but I'm happy for all of the memories and time I put into it over the years. We've been here over the course of 5 years (2020-2025), and now we're done. Wow. Thank you so much to everyone who has accompanied me here
Now that they moved away and I'm a working adult with no direct connection to Orlando, I think it's time to put this relic of my high school/ college days to rest. It was a good run, and I definitely enjoyed the daily posts, but everything must come to an end.
Well here we are, over the course of 5 years later. Throughout this account's tenure, I've lived all over the U.S., in Washington DC, and even in Paris. Ironically, I had never lived in Orlando while operating this account, but I always had a connection through my parents
The original Orlando Maps account was created to store the maps I made and had a post schedule of every two weeks or so - very different from this one. This account was supposed to be the same, but ended being almost entirely maps and flags I had on my feeds that I liked
This account is the second "Orlando Maps" account, after the first one (now deleted) was operated from 2017 to 2018 - back when I was a high schooler living in Orlando. Ironically, by the time I "revived" the Orlando Maps account, I had already moved away for college
I am officially retiring this account. There's nothing to be worried about, but it doesn't make sense to continue operating it. Allow me to explain from the beginning:
Happy New Year! Here's a special map: the Catholic Diocese of Orlando, which oddly includes the moon since the "voyage" to it came from this Diocese's territory (Cape Canaveral)
About to do something a bit different: all of the following maps will have something to do with Florida. You'll see why next week. Here's the metro areas of Florida
