I've got this rotating motor apparatus and many discs I'm sure are meant to be optical illusions as this is set to spin around it. Like the bird appearing in the cage. It's a Sargent Welch device. Anybody know how to make this thing show cool spinny stuff?

Does something like this exist for AP Physics: C E&M Topics? I think I found this list from @MartaStoeckel but don't quite remember, it is just saved to my bookmarks.

@msruggerio I'm teaching Grade-Level, AP1, APC as well this year. It is my 1st year teaching C, + I'm sharing my room with 2 other teachers because the school is under construction this year. I only have my room during my own class time and before/after school. It has been difficult.
For Electric Field / Potential Field mapping labs, what equipment other than power supplies do you all use and where do you source it?
Wondering what the most cost effective way for me to do this is...

Had students build a boat thanks today thanks to an idea from @eposthuma! Students had a great time, and the best results so far was from the boat "Peter Pan" named aptly as it was constructed mostly of nice green duct tape and resembled a leaf. 25 pennies for $16.25!
I inherited this old Welch lab apparatus. It seems to be an electromagnetic motor demonstration. Does anybody have one of these and use it or know where to find any old literature that might have come paired with this?

@maalmeida85 It is! I inherited from the physics teacher/my mentor who'd be here at the school for 3 decades. Plenty of light and open space. I'll be able to enjoy it for 3-4 years until an ongoing school building renovation ends its existence.
@SecaurPhysics Without knowing if it's for just for e-mail, preparing materials for class, or if you'd do anything for leisure like audio/editing/games. /r/buildapcsales on reddit and filtering for prebuilt could be good, comments have good discussion on whether its worth the money or not.
