Remember folks, strong unions don’t just help their members, they push employers across the board to increase pay and treat workers more fairly. There is power, as the song says, in a union.
Altadena/Pasadena getting increasingly militarized as we speak—already hearing reports that (esp Black) residents who lost their homes and mutual aid folks getting harassed, racially profiled, even momentarily detained. Go with a buddy, document any encounters with cops.

Since United Healthcare killers shells said “delay, deny, depose” & police said he came from GA, I read all lawsuits there on UH unjust claim denials. There are so many, including where UH delayed till plaintiffs ran out of $. Some ended in deaths of kids. suspect list is endless
@ctjbgc Especially as things get more expensive, being able to get another year out of the warm winter coat, for instance, can be a big help for folx without a lot of financial security.
Idk what people think happens when you report an encampment, but they don't get any help. They get beat by police. They get fined and their tents, food, blankets, IDs, ashes of their loved ones, medicines, etc. thrown away. They get more traumatized + desperate than before.
