This evening at State House Entebbe, I met the first NRM Caucus of the 12th Parliament and welcomed the endorsement of Hon. Jacob Oboth Oboth as candidate for Speaker and Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa as candidate for Deputy Speaker.
I congratulated them and reminded the Caucus that since the inception of the NRM, we have rejected bad politics. When choosing leaders, we must first ask what needs to be done for the people before asking who should do it. Politics must reject identity, religion, tribalism and gender chauvinism, and instead focus on solving people’s problems. Our priority remains wealth creation and social- economic transformation through productive engagement in agriculture, services, artisanship and ICT.
On the issue of Deputy Speaker, after getting guidance from the Commander-in-Chief, all PLU MPs and PLU leaning MPs will support Rt.Honourable @Thomas_Tayebwa for that position. Congratulations Rt.Honourable.
Happy Birthday sweet mummy. The best part of my day is when I see a smile on your face. I would do anything just to make sure you are happy. I love you my beloved sweet mummy ❤️ ♥️ I wish u a happy birthday

I respectfully request my big brother Ladit @norbertmao to not run for Speaker of Parliament. Please listen to your younger brother. We can get better positions. 🙏

The Chief of Defence Forces and Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has today released Brig Gen Johnson Namanya from detention after an amicable and friendly meeting in which the latter was cleared of all allegations leveled against him. Brig Gen Namanya will resume his military duties accordingly.
We spent the remainder of the day in Lalogi, the ultimate resting place of Mzee Nathan Okori, in preparation for his funeral tomorrow. We also had the privilege of laying a wreath at the final resting place of his son, our leader and brother, Jacob Oulanyah. May the souls of the departed find everlasting peace.
