Loc is the youngest of five children born to a minority family in the highlands. His parents harvest vegetation on the mountainside, barely eeking out enough to feed the family. So there was no money for surgery to repair Loc’s cleft lip and palate.

His mother anguished over every reminder that he was not getting enough to eat--his low weight, fussiness and frequent cries from hunger. A local pastor contacted Orphan Voice.

Not every child has a nurturing family life. Orphans, disabled, and impoverished kids in Vietnam often feel isolation and judgment from their families, communities, and sadly, even their peers. They feel unworthy of love and undeserving of joy.

Last month, thanks to our faithful partners, every child in our reach enjoyed a day at an amusement park with swimming, rides, and a special “safari” area. What a day! Kids are still carrying snapshots of their experiences there—proof that they are worthy.
