@kanesbarefeet I disagree. Lots of classic horror novels-- most of the eary Gothic movement, in fact, is fundamentally extremely conservative in ideology. It is built around the fear of "the other". So much of early horror is made by and for racists, we can't just wokewash the genre's history.
