Palestinian Amputee Football Association establishes the first girls’ football team for amputees in the Gaza Strip.

Many amputees joined the initiative, including a former international runner, a mother who has lost her children, and a journalist.

The team brings together girls and young women who have had limbs amputated during the Gaza genocide, offering them an opportunity to engage in sport, recovery, and social support despite severe injuries and personal loss.

Amnesty International released a report providing evidence that Israel has been accelerating a state-led campaign of “ethnic cleansing” and forcible displacement in the occupied West Bank, particularly in Area C.

The report says that since 2023, Israeli policies have led to the displacement of at least 117 Bedouin and herding communities, affecting about 5,910 people.

It links this to settlement expansion, land seizures, demolitions, and settler violence, including 363 settlement outposts and over 3,400 destroyed Palestinian structures.

Amnesty says these attacks form part of a coordinated policy of de facto annexation carried out by the 'state', not just isolated settlers, and warns that international inaction is enabling that.
