“Dare Enter The Day”
By @OrraObserves
——————————
Every tick, today’s pick
Each breath just a promise
I envy the warm hearts steady beats
The ones that still dare enter the day
Beating, bleeding, breathing
Grasping, gasping, going
We really out here, hearts half-broken
Half-hoping, holding on through the hurting
Learning the slow art of returning
Each dawn a daring pick
Each breath a fragile vow
Envy fading into endurance
We enter the day anyhow
Still showing, still sowing, still growing
Still grateful for the glow
That lights these dark spring days
Another faint light in the dimmest of hours
Dare enter the day!
Lift your broken beat and stay
Dare enter the day!
We’re still here, half-hoping anyway
Dare enter the day!
Through the hurting, through the gray
We dare, we dare, we dare enter the day
Half-broken… half-hoping…
Still holding on…
Dare… enter…
Dare enter the day!
Lift your broken beat and stay!
Dare enter the day!
We’re still here… half-hoping anyway!
Dare enter the day!
Through the hurting… through the gray…
We dare… we dare… we dare enter the day!
There's no more accurate a metaphor for the West than slowly bleeding to death by the hand of barbarians while corrupt authorities tie our hands behind our back.
