Things for educators to live by this year:
1. Your mental well-being is more important than ANYTHING
2. Talk, share, connect & collaborate
3. Your family is more important than your job
4. You make a difference in the lives of everyone you work with every day

Misbehavior can be a symptom of students that are not confident in their academic ability, are stuck, or didn't get it in the way you taught it.

Positive Teams don’t just have fun together. They pursue greatness together. They believe the best is yet to come so they give their best to create the best outcome.
Times have changed. Many kids don't respect you simply because you are an adult. Kids respect you because you are consistent, competent, caring, build relationships, and follow through.

Culture isn’t just one thing. It’s everything. It’s not just one person. It’s everyone. Everyone on the team creates the culture. It’s your culture. Own it. Make it great.
Don’t let negativity win today. Remember it starts with you. If you are complaining you’re not leading. If you are leading you’re not complaining. One person can’t make a team but one person can break a team. Stay positive! No energy vampires allowed.
If you want to be a better leader make time to connect one on one with the people you lead. You can’t motivate someone if you don’t know what motivates them.
Leadership is oftentimes thought of as the administrators in the building. The reality is that we need leaders in the classroom, cafeteria, gym, on the sports fields...and even the students in the desks! We must teach and model it! #leadership
