No flagrant upgrade on the uncalled foul of Spurs' Victor Wembanyama to Knicks' Jalen Brunson on Monday night, a league spokesperson tells ESPN. Wembanyama will stay at two flagrant points in postseason.
NBA head of officiating Monty McCutchen stated during an ESPN appearance that a foul should've been called on Victor Wembanyama when he pushed Jalen Brunson in Game 3.
He added the league is reviewing the incident to determine if a flagrant foul should be retroactively assessed to Wemby.
Victor Wembanyama is told at the podium that Spurs fans were attacked by Knicks fans outside of MSG:
"I am all for passion, but to the respect of each other. It's unacceptable."
Last year in ECF, Knicks lost first 2 at home. Came back to Indiana & won GM 3. Indiana came back in GM 4 & controlled most of the game. Put the Knicks backs against the wall once again. Knicks need to have that urgency tomorrow night. You don't take two in SA to lose 2 at home.
@I_amDonte Yep, his decision making has been questionable for most of the series. Trying to play hero ball way too much instead of making the right play. Spurs guards def have him looking crazy
Can’t get over loss last night. Still just can’t believe how bad the Knicks played. Everyone is crying about refs and FT disparity—they missed some calls against Knicks but NYK fouled a lot. The turnovers to start 1st half and 2nd half is what killed them.
That is the worst basketball the Knicks have played since Game 3 in Hawks series. Jalen Brunson needs to do a way better job facilitating the offense. And his teammates have to do a better job of moving around/knocking down shots.
"Offensively, we were about as stagnant as I've seen us all year, which helped with the 13 turnovers."
Mike Brown talks about the Knicks being stagnant offensively and their turnover issues tonight:
Mike Brown not happy with the officiating, specifically the free-throw discrepancy in the second half.
"I never thought I'd see that in an NBA Finals game."
Clarkson had a big game off the bench but man do we need Shamet to hit open shots. Missed couple of wide open corner shots.
I don’t have a clue what Deuce has been doing. He’s chucking shit up and praying it goes in.
Challenges rules are so dumb for the simple fact that, you lose your two challenges even after getting them right. So, I don’t get to challenge anymore because yall don’t know how to do your jobs correctly? Wild concept.
Knicks have a lot to clean up. Brunson has to take care of the ball—way too many unforced turnovers. And defensively, too many fouls because they overplayed on perimeter and got beat into paint. Can’t get into the bonus less than 3mins into the 4Q.
Knicks down 8 with four and a half to go. Just doesn’t feel like their night. Spurs have countered every punch. Shamet has missed almost everything. Brunson not taking care of ball. Nothing from Bridges either.
