All theological content reflects my personal opinion. I'm a parishioner under Metropolitan Mark of Berlin and Germany, ROCOR. Cringemaxxing is my main hobby.

Frs. Kornily and John met with the local community to discuss steps for its catechism and further development.
And JESUS LOVED / LOVES MARY…
And so…
ALL CHRISTIANS FOR 2000 years loved and honored Mary as the UNTRODDEN PORTAL and UNCUT MOUNTAIN …
So, so, sad that you care so little not only for the LORD’S OWN MOTHER (!!) but for so many holy ones before us who honored and loved HER…
Who are you, sir, to be so proud and disdainful of so great a cloud of witnesses??
Do you not at least understand that you will have NO PLACE among them in heaven if you do not follow them and imitate them???
A man came to our parish for Vespers last night. He said he had called in and talked to Jay who directed him to find his nearest parish. Another new fellow my husband was chatting up at coffee hour told him watching Jay debate protestants was what convinced him to inquire. He's now a catechumen. This "Jay is mean" narrative seems to only be online. In real life, many are being driven to actual Orthodoxy, which is not online.
@DanielDorotheos I'd love to see the same people quote the saints when they spoke about obedience and general caution toward one's own understanding of theology.
@Michaeldudufudu Forgive me, I disagree. I've never met @JayDyer.
But I have met at least 100 seekers/catechumens in the parish I serve who came, in large part, because of him & his work.
Jay's not a bishop, priest, deacon, or people pleaser.
Why even watch?
The majority of the opposition’s strategy for a decade now is to incessantly whine and complain that I am “mean,” and to simply assume it’s well-known “orthobros” are guilty of immense “bad behavior.” I’ve never seen these people give actual examples or explain what specifically is “mean,” or where the evil “orthobros” are actually doing anything wrong.
@mugjudge@KalaDeeDee@d_bahler Are you Orthodox yourself, or how is it that you are so knowledgeable on something that ought to be lived rather than studied?
@seunayilara Who cares what an animal has to say? It is just sound waves coming out of your breathing hole. Or do you believe in such magical things as meaning and human dignity?
@KhalilAndani If nominalism is correct, how come we are both human? If it's a mere term and isn't grounded in ontology, you're a mental abstraction with a set of qualities without any real existence.
@MasterMaliq I wonder what the Pharisees accused Him of and why they so desperately wanted Him to be put to death. Since you know the Bible so well, can you explain?
@LeettiicciiaaN God is love and we can become partakers of the divine nature. Love is thus not some biochemical process in a meatbag that lets it feel good.
@Samuelkonadu34@Ihunanya_chi No, He was not forsaken, for the Father has not turned His face away from Him.
Psalm 21:25: Nor has He turned away His face from me, and when I cried out to Him, He heard me.
@0rthodoxJohn@FrDeaconPat86@theclassicwife Pelagius denied inherited guilt & ancestral sin. A heretic is not simply someone who holds heretical positions, but one who continues in error after being corrected. Councils and Synods ought to be interpreted by clergy. Who gave you the authority to declare Fr. Deacon a heretic?
