Maybe the most beautiful Icon in Orthodoxy (I know, there's a lot of those).
When I was a little boy, my godfather told me why this Icon is so special; it depicts only a heavenly reality. Peter and Paul only spent a short amount of time together, and were publicly at odds regarding the issue of Judaizing.
You will hug and kiss your homies in heaven, and you may even discover you had more homies than you realized on earth.
Our parish's newest icon, St. Nectarios of Pentapolis.
Written by Paraskeve Kalvesmaki, and containing a relic of the Saint given to us by Fr. Nectary Yangson, the custodian of the Hawaiian Myrrh-streaming Icon.
It's rapidly becoming my favorite icon! Glory to God!
Holy Hierarch Father Nektarios, pray to God for us!
Many of you may be seeking God right now, wanting Him back in your life and wondering what's next.
May I suggest the Orthodox Church, the Ancient Faith of the Apostles. If you're wondering what to do or where to go, please see links in the replies.
Come and see!
If you're Orthodox, are you going to church tonight? I hope so!
Participate in the full life of your parish! It's a treasure house, given to YOU!
Glory to God, and God bless you.
