Orwell Mencap is a local charity. We provide personalised services for adults and children with disabilities from the Genesis centre and in the local community.
As Spring arrives the garden club are ready for more sunny days to come!
They were all busy sowing many seeds into the garden that were kindly donated to us.
We look forward to seeing the flowers grow over the coming months.
Faye has had a busy Easter period in the art room!

Happy World Book Day 2024!
This is one of Genesisโ favourite days of the year. Dressing up as all our favourite characters guarantees to make the day full of fun.
The two major book themes for this year were Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Menโs group was swarmed by a variety of activities all centred around bees!
A special surprise was the full bee keeper outfit that everyone got to try on.

The garden club have been learning all about the life cycle of frogs and making their own paper frogs!
They also got stuck into creating their own stunning paper flowers which looked amazing.
The Genesis social zone was filled with Hawaiian music today.
As everyone enjoyed their dance lesson in Hula, a form of expression that came with colourful skirts!

Today The Green Bike Project dropped off our gift to @SEHFrench for building our new workshop!
The guys from The Green Bike Project refurbished the bike and our lovely garden club decorated it with plants.

Valentine's Day was yesterday and we are continuing on with our theme of hearts!
Everyone was tasked with finding plants that had heart patterns on them.
Once inside the garden club created beautiful hearts using all natural materials.
With Valentines Day fast approaching we have had hearts and flowers on our minds at Genesis.
The garden club therefore decided to craft some beautifully decorated hearts using all natural materials.
Everyone worked hard and they all came out looking beautiful.
Tasty puff pastry hot dogs were on the menu today!
It was lovely seeing the amazing chefs who were preparing them as they did a brilliant job learning the skills to put them together.
