@OliverJia1014 I'm on keto whilst living in Japan. It's certainly doable even on a budged. I basically replace rice with tofu, and eat lots of veggies and milk products in addition to meat. It helps that I live in Hokkaido though. Eggs are your best friend as well
@jake_j_jung One more thanks after the trip itself! We both really enjoyed the meal and the night that followed. I'll be sure to visit the other places you mentioned on my further visits. I'd love to send you a pic of two of us but you don't have pms open and I don't feel like posting it here
@jake_j_jung please help out! I've been tasked by my gf to find a nice place for dinner for our trip to Kyoto and I'm completely helpless. Do you have favorite places that are not 洋食 and have a good atmosphere and won't cost much over 15千円/person? Thanks in advanced
@jake_j_jung It's also right next to this bar I've been earning to go to forever, so if the night shall allow, might use the chance and stop by

@jake_j_jung Man thank you so much for saving my butt, I think I might go with the The Sodoh - the atmosphere looks lovely and it will surely be an interesting experience to my japanese partner. Thank you!!!!!
@Seycara I think the skill to match people is also important and largely beneficial at times. Judging the situation and balancing both worlds is the right way to go imo
@jake_j_jung I was also raised in a bilingual family, but it feels incredibly weird to talk in the "wrong" language to the parents. Probably because they were making sure I don't mix languages from a young age, so I was just a bit bewildered 👍
