The annoying thing about SEN bypassing the midfield because he insists with L.Camara higher up the pitch is that playing I.Mbaye with L.Camara having more of the ball is a win-win with how they want to play.

I’ll get proper annotated screenshots posted tomorrow but wanted to show this now, in the first screenshot we see Senegal in almost a 3-0-7 in their high build, they then lose the ball and get caught on transition, Gueye gets bypassed and the 2 CB’s have to now defend a 4 on 2.

That’s what can happen when you vacate the central space between the defensive and attacking lines.
