I saw 20 or so Chinese soldiers march into a restaurant all in perfect sync.

@EJusttice @ShangguanJiewen I trekked around China almost 3 months in 2007 and went from Beijing, Shanghai to western Yunnan and Sichuan.

Most people seemed content and things were in good. There was lots of construction. Kids seemed bright. School probably better than USA but that's not saying much.

@zhao_dashuai I trekked around China almost 3 months in 2007 and many time there were annoying hookers.

In Guilin where I went to an ATM to get cash I had to go through a Red Light area. One Chinese lady stopped in front of me and said "I want to F... you". Sort of funny.

@RetroMemoriesHQ Have on plugged into the ISA bus of my 486DX2-66 system. It used to have 120MB Conner hard drive but I later upgrade to 420MB!! Conner drive. Later added a 1GB drive with Slackware Linux installed but almost never boot it.

Great for DOOM2 through local-bus VGA card.

@kangminlee I grew up in silicon valley and loved computers and electronics outside of school 1970s-80s. School sucked. University Engineering and science students should teach some elementary school programming, science, and electronics classes. Should write space invaders before 6th grade.

@ShangguanJiewen As an under-grad at UC Santa Cruz 1993-95 I often bicycled up the outer perimeter road. One day I saw a large truck holding an enormous what looked like giant razor up 20-50 feet shaving the trees back from the road.

10-100 times more powerful than that bush trimmer.

@ShangguanJiewen This is on the same block as Shockley Semiconductor considered birthplace of silicon valley. Build when much of block rebuilt ~20 years ago. Looks like old tenements. At least there are plenty of trees. Looks drab but crazy expensive.
