A very sad ginger cat has arrived at the sanctuary clinic.
He was found in the streets and brought to the sanctuary clinic. He has a broken lower jaw which has been sutured back into place by Dr Mohammed.
We think he will heal well and we will keep you updated.

This cat came to us from Lattakia a couple of days ago. He had fallen from the 5th floor of a building and had a femur fracture.
Our vets team performed emergency surgery and fixed it with a metal pin.

In this video, you can see him 2 days after surgery. He’s stable, walking a little and he has started eating today. All good signs for his recovery.
He’s on antibiotics to prevent infection and pain meds to keep him comfortable.

We're not interested in commenting on politics, but sometimes decisions made in the West impact upon the life of even a small cat in the East.
How?
Ports and customs are closed, and transport is blocked, and this means that food reaches us in limited quantities.
Inevitably costs rise excessively, and all we have left is the good hearts of our friends in the West who help us face this emergency that has been going on for months now, and is bringing us to our knees due to the difficulties we are facing every day.

We have the keys to our new Free Veterinary Clinic!
We had to leave our old one because the rent was rising every month and it became too much for our finances.
This place is cheaper and a good rent. It's nearer the city centre in a good area.We expect to attract new customers and its close enough to the old clinic for our old clients to use.
It has a good sized outdoor area as you can see, - useful for the larger animal visitors.
There is lots of work to do to make it ready for use but we hope to be ready to open on August 1st,without losing too many clinic days.
All our vital veterinary equipment will be transported to the new clinic.
Moving the xray is one of our biggest jobs - its one of our most precious pieces of equipment and we can't risk moving it without expert guidance.

We wanted to update you on our search for a new ambulance van.
When we began the campaign to find a new van, we asked our team to look for vans that met important criteria: 1) Final purchase price between €23-25,000, 2) a 2018 model or newer, 3) relatively low mileage, and a layout that could be safely and practically converted to carry our medical equipment and transport injured or vulnerable animals.

So far, vans within our price range are often much older, or have high mileage, or not suitable for conversion. In other cases, the van itself is a strong match, but the price is beyond our current budget.

The team is still actively searching and we are ready to purchase a suitable used van the moment we find the right one. At the same time, we are keeping the campaign open so that we can continue raising funds and remain prepared for every possible option.

We are deeply grateful for your support. We want to make the best possible decision as this van has to last us for a long time.

Dear Ernesto’s supporter
We are writing to you to give you an update about our ambulance appeal that we started on June 1st.
Our ambulance, after years of honourable service rescuing animals in the whole of Syria, especially in the last years after Syria’s liberation when we became able to visit all the Syrian zone including the rural ones, where no vet services or animals assistance exists.
In 2025 - 2026 we organaized free vet clinic mobile days in Lattakia, Damascus, Hama, Tartous, Aleppo etc., to make free vet clinic days.
Thanks to our partnership with WTG and with the help of our partner Gunther’s family in the USA, we provided assistance, spaying, neutering, vaccines, medical help, offering all types of care to cats, dogs, birds, and to any other type of animals that we find.
Without an ambulance – that is a van with essential veterinary equipment added - we will not be able to continue these types of missions.
We know how essential these clinics are in our country - and ours is literally the only one in the whole of Syria.
For this we hope to be able to replace it soon , using the old equipment that WTG financed for us in the past.
In Syria there are no new vans available. There are just second hand ones in good condtion, and our hope is to buy one this summer.
The one that will be good for our mission and our team costs around 23k
