@DCaazy@RicardoJuchem It is blue! That’s so mystifying to me that you get that right without picturing the image. Cognition between aphantasics and non-aphantasics must be so different! I could never just “know” that without picturing it.
@RicardoJuchem (to be clear: I’m often wrong, but that’s because I picture them wrong, but “the process” is still all about picturing them, wring or not)
@RicardoJuchem I’m genuinely curious, byw. Like, the reason I know Spider-Man has a red outfit is because I can picture images of him. It’s not like i have a list of ”facts” in my head about these things, I have to picture them and figure it out. I can’t imagine how that works with aphantasia.
@gnomeslair There was just a really long and riveting article about contact between India and the Roman Empire the New York Review of Books. Really fascinating: https://t.co/yedJ3Li0di
@eliz_blackstock The yellow line is just a reference for the drivers, the white box is what matters, and he’s inside that (you are allowed to step on it). This is nothing.
@felixsalmon Here's a thing i just don't get about this story: do tech companies just keep massive stashes of money in banks, uninsured except for the FDIC $250k? Like... that just seems dumb. My car is worth a lot less than then a company's entire payroll, and I insure that...
@briancgrubb Boom Town by Sam Anderson fits perfectly! One of my favorite reads recently, all about the insane weirdness that is Oklahoma City and their basketball team. There are some minor bummer sections (bombing, tornadoes), but trust me on this one, it’s really excellent.
