Genesis Kong - Owning a piece of history!

Something pretty special happened today... I was gifted a Genesis Kong.

Huge thank you to the CyberKongz team for this. It genuinely means a lot.

For anyone newer to NFTs, Genesis Kongz are one of the original pieces of NFT culture. There are only 1,000 of them ever created and they’ve been around since the very VERY early days of the space.

Long before “utility” became a constant word, Kongz were already experimenting with it through $BANANA, one of the first tokens tied directly to an NFT collection.

Owning one now feels surreal if I'm honest and not just because of the history, but because it places me inside a lineage that has shaped a lot of what this space became. CyberKongz helped define what NFT communities, token integration and long term holder culture could look like.

So yeah… this one means something.

Also, I have to say, this Kong fits me perfectly. Glasses, slightly geeky, looks like it spends too much time analysing charts and onchain data. Pretty accurate.

But more than anything, it feels like becoming part of the fabric of NFT culture. Not just watching it, analysing it or writing about it but actually holding a piece of it.

Proud to own one of the 1,000 Genesis Kongz. I am proud to be part of a community that doesn't apologise for being who they are, they are degens through and through!

And very grateful for the gift.
