Dear @McJuggerNuggets,
Grace and peace to you in the Lord Jesus Christ,
In these recent days, I could not help but notice the explosion of information popping up on my feed regarding the erroneous decision you and your wife made regarding your child. Firstly, it is true that this was wrong. The doctors, society, and Satan himself have all lied to you. What you have done is indeed murder.
I am reaching out not to cast a stone at you, but to extend the hand of Mercy. This Mercy is twofold: firstly, it is what we call a “spiritual work of mercy,” which is to inform you of a grave evil committed. The second aspect of this is to tell you the truth: that Jesus still loves you. He loves you, your wife, your family, and your child, whom we now entrust to His Mercy. I extend this love by telling you the truth.
I send this message to give you saving truth, of what you actually did, in order that you and your wife will repent, but also that, if you come to this realization and acknowledgment of what you have done, you might not despair of Mercy. Mercy is for all, but it requires repentance and conversion to Christ through His Church.
I wish to extend to you the hope and the Mercy of Christ. His Mercy is greater than all of our sins, no matter how dark or evil they may be, if only we repent.
Out of pastoral concern, I call you to repentance, but also to please accept the love Jesus has for you by running into His arms of Mercy through the great gift of the Sacrament of Confession. He died for my sins and for yours.
I am praying for you and your family.
‼️MY REACTION TO @McJuggerNuggets TURNING HIS ABORTION DECISION INTO CONTENT:
The one thing missing from the discussion was the person.
The child.
The human being at the center of it all.
And I couldn't stop thinking about something.
What would a person with Down syndrome think reading that tweet?
Having children is one of the most selfless acts a human being can undertake.
You are voluntarily accepting uncertainty.
The entire journey of parenthood is an exercise in loving someone whose future you cannot control.
That's the deal.
But somewhere along the way we've started treating children like consumer products.
We ask whether the child fits our plans.
Whether the child matches our expectations.
Whether the child will provide the experience we envisioned.
And when a diagnosis arrives that changes those expectations, the conversation often becomes about whether the child still meets the standard.
That isn't parenthood.
That's consumerism.
And then there is one final thing I can't shake.
The need to announce it.
Not to close friends.
Not to family.
To the entire world.
To a bunch of strangers online.
Maybe that's the part that disturbs me most.
Because we've entered a strange moment in our culture.
Every private experience must become content.
Every tragedy becomes a post.
Every intimate decision becomes engagement.
Every deeply personal moment becomes public consumption.
And I found myself wondering:
Was today the day that aborting your child became content?
As Christians, we believe every person is made in the image of God.
Every person.
Join me tonight in praying for both this couple, and the sweet soul that they sent to Heaven way too early.
@Tcastolo_@sugabelly Murder is murder and it’s not up to me what happens to their souls. This is so baseless beyond what I posted. Sorrow for their souls is all. Has nothing to do with my choice to adopt or not. Souls are going to burn. That should scare you.
@ateu_grazadeus@sugabelly Not imposing an arbitrary rule on anyone. It is the rule. Do not murder. I’ve prayed for their souls as soon as I saw it going viral. Not up to me to forgive.
@sugabelly Literally nothing to do with what I said. As a Christian, there is a deep and very meaningful sorrow that is felt when evil takes over. Get a clue
@McJuggerNuggets You will need to beg for mercy. When this “shit show” is done taking its turn being viral, the dust settles, and it’s you and your thoughts, do not be afraid of God speaking to you and guiding you back to Him. Go to Him. Run. Praying for your soul @McJuggerNuggets
If you can find an example of a more evil thing on this platform than a man announcing his plan to murder his child for being disabled, go ahead and post it. I can’t think of one.
@McJuggerNuggets You should consider getting on your knees and begging for God’s mercy and forgiveness. Your soul depends on that. Once this life is over the next begins, and that should frighten you.
