Something is deeply broken in our system.
In the past two days alone, I’ve witnessed two real-life incidents that shook me—and forced me to ask: What gives our government officials and police officers so much audacity? Audacity to not work, yet feel entitled. Audacity to harass, delay, and disrespect the very citizens they are paid to serve.

Its not protectionism that's at stake. But credibility. The eyes of the world are on India at every stage of the current investigation of the the Air India Dreamliner Air Accident.

So far the authorities inside India are not performing as they should be, compared with other like incidents and the timeline is slipping.

There was no excuse for delaying the examination of the two black boxes. They should have immediately been sent to an International Lab able to fully decode the vice recorder and the flight data recorder, not later after a local lab had bodged the earlier attempt leaving the investigation team with tampered units being passed for another attempt to decode at an International Lab.

Accept international assistance to get the investigation back on track and do it quickly. It's up to you India. The World really is watching you along with the families and friends of the victims. They need answers, as does the world aviation community. I for one will be maintaining a close interest throughout the process, however long it takes....
