EXPANSION OF SOROTI FRUIT FACTORY IN THE OFFING:
The PSST @rggoobi has said plans are underway to expand and modernise Soroti Fruit Factory in partnership with a management firm from Ethiopia.

Ggoobi said the expansion project will cost about USD 30 million and will take a period of about two years to become operational once construction starts.

The PSST made the remarks today at Soroti Fruits Ltd, where he went to assess the performance of the factory on the directive of H.E the President @KagutaMuseveni

He was accompanied by the PS @mtic_uganda, Lynette Bagonza, @mofpedU Director Economic Affairs, Moses Kaggwa and Commissioners from both the Ministries of Finance and Trade.

The PSST said the factory is changing the destiny of the region in terms of processing and adding value. He thanked the partners from Ethiopia for helping to manage the factory more effectively and also transforming it to become more successful.

The Chief Commercial Officer,Soroti Fruits Ltd,TsegaMariam Tesfaye thanked H.E. President @KagutaMuseveni and Gov't of Uganda for the opportunity to work together to industrialise and transform the region.

The planned new factory will have advanced technology with an automatic bottling and packaging line,multi-fruit processing units and organic fertilizer and animal feeds production among others.
