im teamblack because Daemon Targaryen and Caraxes happen to live there.
and that hurts to admit because I genuinely loved Rhaenyra.
i shipped Daemyra from the beginning, i wanted to watch those two terrifying, dysfunctional Targaryens take on the realm together.
at this point, Daemon and Caraxes are genuinely the only reasons im still Team Black.
they’re out there carrying the actual Targaryen aura on their backs.
give me a -Queen Cersei- Rhaenyra who spirals because power corrupts her, grief consumes her and war hardens her.
not because she needs a new person every episode to tell her, “Yes, Your Grace, you really are special”
that Rhaenyra didn’t need validation from a low born peasant.
this one has the crown, the throne and the dragons… yet somehow seems more insecure than the girl who had none of them.
“She dreams… She is a dreamer. Like Daenys who foresaw the Doom.”
— Rhaenyra referencing the vision of Daenys the Dreamer, further showcasing her knowledge of Targaryen history♥️
the fascinating difference is that Helaena doesn’t usually communicate her visions clearly.
she says strange, cryptic things that sound meaningless until the event actually happens.
she’s one of the most interesting characters in the entire show, she appears to have the same gift as Daenys Targaryen.
she had a prophetic dream that Valyria would be destroyed, 12 years later; the doom.
I’m genuinely asking, what is Helaena’s role in the story?
She barely seems involved in the war, showed little reaction to her son’s death, never visited her injured husband, and refuses to ride her dragon.
What exactly are the writers trying to do with her character? #HOTD
