๐ To all of you guys, merry and happy Christmas! Spend the best time with your loved ones, enjoy your holidays if you canโฆ

You primary role as a senator is to legislate, come up with laws that make the country better . There is no single bill that I know of or have heard of, that you have sponsored in parliament to make the country governed better. What you only know to do is just to oppose everything that the government does . That is not leadership at all. Leaders provide alternative ways . Why have you not drafted alternative bills that would make use of finances better rather than rushing to courts every minute to oppose everything including laws sponsored by other parliamentarians. Where is your own version of better laws/bills
George Bush guaranteed Moi that he wouldnโt be prosecuted for his thievery and corruption. Kibaki was cautioned against attempting accountability and Meles Zenawi was the prefect for that deal. No oneโs coming to save us, we have to do it ourselves or remain slaves forever
Ukipata job ama place tu unawezaget pesa treat it with utmost care. Out here, people are struggling to put something on their mouths. There's nothing to be happy about being unemployed.
I UNDERSTAND Engineers have once again been asked to give their input on our bill in parliament. I say once again because we requested and received a detailed feedback on the bill from IEK among other professionals association sometime back that we considered before moving to parliament. We must stop hypocrisy.
We are shocked and concerned about some comments we see already but make no mistake, we are not afraid. Even so, I believe Parliament will carry out public participation that allows everyone to give comments.
That said allow me to state the following;
1. The bill has no contradiction with any of existing built environment professional regulations. It has been checked and rechecked at every level.
2. You will appreciate the bill more if you first seek to understand the difference between a Project Manager and a Lead Consultant. If you donโt, you will mostly join the bandwagon who think their jobs are being taken.
3. Like every profession it is our inherent constitutional right to be recognized and regulated. This right is not subservient to anyone or organization. We will be regulated.
4. This is our profession, we will decide how it is practiced. We have no apologies to confer. We welcome and are open to suggestions including objective criticism but not dictation.
5. There is no profession obtained through experience. All professions are achieved through training. I cannot, for instance, claim to be a QS because I have practiced for 15yrs. Nope.
5. It is not a money bill.
Hasta la vista, baby!
For those aspiring to build these are the costs I incurred on the FOUNDATION ALONE when it dawned on me the topography changed the whole game unexpectedly different from drawing estimates;
