I read this article years ago and every time I hear about it happening again, I look up the article and read it again.
It can happen to ANYBODY.
I’m grateful and relieved that @OttawaHospital will continue to require masks be worn. I would happily continue to wear a mask at work for the rest of my career.
Imagine going to your job every single day knowing that there won’t be enough staff for it to be a smooth and enjoyable day.
Almost always short staffed.
Always the stress of not knowing just HOW short your workplace will be.
Does this happen in ANY other profession?!?
Of course, I’m incredibly disappointed in the election results.
As a nurse, I feel a sense of dread that’s hard to explain.
But what’s even more disappointing is how few of my fellow citizens voted. It’s like a slap in the face.
I am 19 days post COVID symptom onset and headaches and extreme fatigue have been ongoing issues. I find myself feeling really concerned it will last forever.

Day 4. No interest in getting out of bed, could sleep forever and it wouldn’t be enough. Muscle aches improved a bit, replaced with a sore throat. After drying up yesterday, runny nose has reactivated, lots of tissues. No fever today. Yes headache and sinus pressure. 0 stars.
@CadaJennifer Interestingly, my husband did a rapid test this morning, he’s more or less asymptomatic except for a sniffle, and he tested positive!!! He feels fine, and would have went to work if it wasn’t for my positive test and me making him stay home with the kids.
Makes no sense.
COVID symptoms so far:
First, a runny nose, congestion, sneezing.
Then, a fever, muscle aches and pains. Like nothing I’ve ever felt. My body FEELS like it’s under attack at a cellular level. I want to crawl out of my skin.
Today, adding headache and sore throat.
