My deepest condolences on behalf of the Ottawa Police Association are being extended to the Toronto Police Service on the loss of Police Service Dog Bingo who was shot and killed in the line of duty. When will Canada toughen up on gun crimes? @TPAca @TorontoPolice

Our deepest condolences go out to the OPP, family and friends of Sgt. Eric Mueller. Another tragic day for those who dedicate their lives to protecting our communities.

[Mark Sutcliffe @_MarkSutcliffe]

Police officers are valued members of our community and much appreciated public servants. Like all municipal employees, they are dedicated to serving the people of Ottawa. And they often work in difficult and dangerous circumstances.

[Matthew Cox @OPApresident]

Thank you Premier Ford, Minister Lecce, and MPP Ghamari for supporting our officers and working toward a proper resolution

[Doug Ford @fordnation]

This is a disturbing trend that needs to stop. Police officers are the people we call when we need help. They deserve so much better than this.

I’m calling on the @OCDSB to immediately reverse this policy and show our heroes on the frontlines the respect they deserve.

[Andrea Lamothe O.O.M @OPALamothe]

It’s heartbreaking that the school board has chosen to decide who can and cannot being their parent to school. Our school boards need to do better and promote inclusiveness and educate and not divide. @OPApresident

Thanks to @PierrePoilievre for addressing delegates to the Canadian Police Association Legislative Conference on behalf of @CPC_HQ. Strong comments regarding #bailreform and the need for action regarding repeat violent offenders.

[Ottawa Police Association @OTTAWAPAca]

Condolences go out to the RCMP, family and friends of Cst. Harvinder Singh Dhami, who died in a crash while responding to a call. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

[Police Association of Ontario (PAO) @PoliceAssocON]

We honour Const. Brett Ryan & Const. Travis Jordan. Today’s service was a tribute to these generous, kind and brave men who would go beyond the call of duty to help people. They made the ultimate sacrifice for the work they loved #NeverForgotten #HeroesInLife

[Ottawa Police Association @OTTAWAPAca]

The OPA extends our condolences to the Surete du Quebec for the tragic death of Sergente Maureen Breau. Thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and colleagues.

We’re inspired every day by the civilian/sworn women in policing, along with everyone who helps #EmbraceEquity in all forms to create places & spaces where women thrive. Hear from some of our own who reflect on what #IWD2023 & gender equity means to them @OPALamothe @OTTAWAPAca

[Ottawa Police Association @OTTAWAPAca]

Happy #InternationalWomensDay from everyone at the OPA! Proud to have so many amazing women working with us.
