Nearly 1,200 people have signed our petition since we launched, exactly one week ago. The message is clear: Ottawa residents want daily water testing at their beaches. One test a week isn’t enough.

On #WorldEnvironmentDay, we gathered with water leaders from across the watershed, including @WaterAgencyCAN, to share knowledge, build connections, and strengthen collaboration for a swimmable, fishable, drinkable Ottawa River.
Don’t miss this opinion piece by The Globe and Mail’s Arno Kopecky on the lasting impact of Trump-era regulatory rollbacks on North America’s waters. @mkeriverkeeper Cheryl Nenn is quoted, and @ottriverkeeper is also highlighted. A thoughtful read for anyone who cares about the future of our rivers.

The 12th annual @ottriverkeeper fundraising gala proved once again to be one of the hottest parties in the capital, rain or shine, as more than 400 politicians, politicos, philanthropists, and ecologically minded entrepreneurs weren't deterred by a little drizzle last night for a night of high spirits and higher bids, raising over $330K in support of the national capital watershed. #PartyCentral
