Today, I paid a courtesy call on Dr. Oburu Odinga at his office. He is the reigning supreme Luo leader and the leader of the ODM party. Dr. Oburu is a calm, collected, and focused man. He has a clear vision of what we deserve and must achieve as a people, yet he avoids unnecessary controversy.
I believe Dr. Oburu is the reason the Luo have remained united since the passing of Baba, despite attempts by a Sifuna-led, Luhya-dominated faction to split the community. Dr. Oburu is currently the unifying force within ODM. He has no burning ambition for anything, nor does he view anyone as potential competition.

CAF will be the second-most represented confederation at the 2026 tournament, behind only UEFA (16 teams).
Expansion.
I remember when I scored once and my wife said nothing.
The next day she said she didn’t know I had scored because she wanted to be first at the buffet
The problem in Kasipul and Homabay in general is Gladys Atieno Nyasuna. Boyd Were has no capacity to destroy a private hospital and cars belonging to his opponent, Newton Ogada.
Ironically the nearest county hospital to this destroyed hospital is the now infamous Nyang'iela level 4 which can not treat even a thorn prick. And looks like a colonial chiefs camp.
This is the Ong'ondo Were legacy that Gladys wants to continue in Kasipul.
Kenya has grown steadily and sustained a largely peaceful democracy. But now the picture is looking bleak, as people grow discontented and vent their anger in the streets. The country’s leader must change tack https://t.co/2Ce84Qgz23

Everyone at the Premier League is shocked and devastated to learn of the tragic passing of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre. Our sincerest condolences go to Diogo’s family, friends, Liverpool FC, and all their supporters at this heartbreaking time. Football has lost a champion who will be forever missed. We will continue to support our friends and colleagues at the club.
We the Luo in UDA will still respect Raila Odinga for he has joined us to help us have a stable government, the broad based government, a.k.a government of national unity. An all inclusive government. He is the only one person who can keep the alternative half of Kenya in government or walk out with them. Not Governor Gladys Wanga nor James Orengo or anybody else.
So for Gladys Wanga to hide behind Raila Odinga so as to avoid necessary scrutiny and subsequent competition is to take us for a ride.
Gladys, wants to make the President believe that by buying leadership positions, paying bloggers and hiring hecklers and cheer teams, she is popular! We can see her hiding behind a blade of grass.
When president William Ruto formed the broad based government, he welcomed ODM with everyone including in it, including those who called him un-printable names, upto and including body shaming. But here in ODM, Gladys is publicly telling us how 'jo UDA' are not accepted in major funerals and public functions in luoland. She is blackmailing the president. She must however pray very hard that Raila will still be strong enough in 2027 to lift up her hands.
Today, Gladys is publicly planting candidates in Kasipul, Karachuonyo, Ndhiwa, and Muhoroni constituencies. And covertly in many other constituencies. Because she wants to control everything in Homabay and then the rest of luoland. For now she does not want any other centre of power in Homabay. It's the reason she is ever pushing Raila to plead with the president to remove Dr Raymond from interior and any other strong politicians from Homabay. Even in Siaya, Migori and Kisumu we have UDA members and anti ODM politicians. Why only politicians from Homabay are being pushed out for ODM? It's simple, Gladys doesn't want competition. If she is that popular, why does she always insist on direct ticket? Why is she putting up pressure to have her political opponents step down or be removed from government?
If she is genuine in her support for the president, why is she campaigning for the removal of the president's men in Homabay? What would happen the day they will finally walk away? I understand the disappointment she had in Homabay during Madaraka Day when her cheer team did not find a corner of their own and were submerged in the large pro Ruto crowd. Her name did not attract any significant applause.
As for my colleagues in UDA, and those firing from the president's corner, do not silence your guns, for the ODM team will need a formidable opponent to get re elected to their offices, that opponent is the government, and for sure they will walk away last minute. They know no ther politics apart from bashing the government of the day and promising their gullible followers that they will take that government. Only Baba can keep them in government because that is the single vote they need to be re elected.
They are happy to have a broad based national government - to cover their under-performance - but they do not want a broad based luo 'government', for they fear competition.
I am yet to hear ODM politicians preaching that luos must remain in government come what may. All I hear is endless demands, to leverage on in hoodwinking the people that they are delievering.
Now that I have happily accepted to pay the price for their being happily in BBG, and Wanga through her 200 plus bloggers celebrated all the way to orgasm, I want to hear them campaign for and defend the President.
I want to see her hire bloggers to support the re election of the president.
As for my president, this is my advice; Luos are largely an emotional and sentimental lot. Development alone will not be enough. You must radicalise them, the Osama bin Laden syle. Show them an enemy and lead them to fight it. These are the same people who told me to take away a bridge I built for them if I am not following Baba who had shown them an enemy and the war with that enemy was underway.

In this video, Lamon Adienge, Okiso, and Ong'ondo Were's driver Onguny are seen plotting on luring Mr Jabuya(in red T- shirt) out of the Greenvile Hotel and killing him. They take him out near Ong'ondo's car, Adienge punches him, pulls out a knife, and the chase begins. Jabuya is cornered inside the hotel, tries to defend himself with a bottle, but fails as he slips and falls to the floor where Adienge tears his abdomen with knife, leaving his intestines spread on the floor.
Okiso, who was then fetching another bottle to hit Jabuya, realises Adienge had done the job, drops the bottle, and they both take off.
Onguny then informs Ong'ondo that the mission has been accomplished. They then enter the car and speed off, leaving Jabuya to die.
Okiso was later linched by the members of the public.
Interestingly, Ong'ondo Were's son Boyd, who is the heir apparent, told the people of Kasipul that ''MP si mtu wa kuchezewa".
He told the people that Jabuya called for the knife by trying to defend himself by using a bottle on Adienge!!
