@_ifssss Oh wow we are dragging the woman now? For a caption that was literally cruise and she isn't even the first person to use it. Godforbid women!! Really Godforbid
@esther_stan I have seen plenty ladies use that caption on TT and everybody understood it's all cruise. Somehow it reached Audrey's turn today and women are using it to mock her. The people that said women hate each other ate fr
This is the first time I’ll be making a tweet like this, highlighting gender differences, but I’m genuinely irritated.
A man will cheat on his woman, and his fellow men will rally around him, cover for him and back him up.
But you ladies will mock and shame the woman being cheated on rather than hold the man responsible.
I genuinely don’t get it.
I believe one of the biggest threats to feminism today is a new form of pickmeism that presents itself as feminism.
Instead of centering women’s interests, autonomy, boundaries, and spaces, it prioritizes certain groups of men because those men are seen as marginalized in other ways. It then uses feminist talking points to pressure or shame women for having sexual boundaries, dating preferences, or other personal choices, rather than defending women’s right to make those choices freely.
I’ve also seen this rhetoric used to justify encroaching on women’s spaces and to decenter women in conversations that are primarily about women’s experiences and rights.
What makes this trend more concerning than traditional pickmeism is that it comes wrapped in feminist language. Because it sounds progressive, it’s often harder to recognize and harder to challenge. The consequences don’t always appear immediately, you often notice them only after the ideas have started influencing how people think about women’s boundaries, women’s spaces, and women’s autonomy.
If we’re not willing to question these arguments, I worry that they could gradually undermine hard-won gains that generations of feminists fought to achieve. Feminism should remain centered on protecting women’s rights and autonomy, not on using feminist rhetoric to persuade women to compromise them.
@WendyElizayx4g @laceddowngabby@NigeriaStories He had a stressful day and the only way was to sexually assault a woman? The kind of things some of you defend. I wondered how many of you are not r*pist
You people were signing petitions to stop a Nigerian from having her art exhibition in Lagos. Now, a girl from a xenophobic country who has never spoken up for victims of xenophobia is coming to lagos and y’all are gagging on her dick.
Shame on all of you🖐🏾.
@Lady_Na_Master How did men even enter this discussion?? Cleanup after peeing and you are involving men? For people who called others male centered you seem to be really centered on men yourself
@lilyally98 You don't see the kind. Of useless followers he has also? Imagine that one that told his pregnant wife to pick extra shift so he can build house for his poor father is his die hard fan too.
@IraborGodwin_RN@Osagiemerry So Cos he spent money on baddies automatically makes him a rich man.. someone that was extorting his wife. Birds of a feather flock together. See the metrics you are even using to hail him... Spending money on baddies
