Today, I had the distinct honour of meeting Mr. John Ouko from Strathmore University, Kenya, together with Mr. Weru, our Education Attaché. Our dialogue focused on expanding the horizons of Kenya’s education sector both within our borders and across the global diaspora.

Strathmore University, a beacon of academic excellence and innovation, is actively exploring the deployment of virtual learning platforms to reach Kenyans abroad. This forward-looking initiative resonates deeply with our national aspiration to position Kenya as a regional and global hub for transformative, values-based education.

A key highlight of our engagement was the university’s commitment to introducing Executive Education programmes designed specifically for Kenyans whether residing locally or in the diaspora. These programmes aim to cultivate leadership, enhance professional competencies, and reinforce Kenya’s intellectual and human capital on the global stage.

This collaboration exemplifies the power of educational diplomacy leveraging knowledge exchange as a tool for international engagement, national branding, and sustainable development. It underscores our conviction that education is not merely a domestic imperative, but a strategic asset in shaping Kenya’s global narrative.

@TrevorOmbija @citizentvkenya The fact that we have issues around health, education, economy etc does not mean we should ignore serious governance questions such as the impeachment of DP Gachagua. Bad governance is actually the cause of the many other problems we face. #DayBreak
