@y_sotomayor Interesting question. We played around with the idea of a Potion of Concealment, or suppressing encounters if the player is invisible... But it kept breaking things in difficult to anticipate ways...
@flameborn@jackf723 Right. And this wasn't specifically a visual accessibility thing. Just one of those things that might help a variety of people, so why not?
Basic summary of a discussion about an accessibility feature today: "well if it might help someone, and won't get in the way of players who don't need it, then why the heck not?" #a11y#wordsToLiveBy
@Orinks@bscross32@unity3d Our experience thus far is that Unity strikes a good balance. It handles a lot for you efficiently under the hood, but allows you to get in there and do as much custom work as you want or need.
@OutOfSightGames@unity3d Agreed, but first this notion that blind people cannot be creators / developers of content needs to be thrown out the window. So many misconceptions still exist about people with disabilities.
The more work our sighted team members do with @unity3d the more heartbroken we become that the many gifted and passionate blind developers out there don‘t have access to a powerful development ecosystem like this. @unity3d don’t you want our money?
we know we've been pretty quiet this year apart from occasional #AHC updates, and we'd be lying if we said the year hasn't had its share of rough patches. That said, there is some potentially exciting stuff cooking at OOSG and we can't wait until we can tell you more!
