Great Rockaway Beach New Year’s Walk/ Ride! By bike we visited the Little North Pole, stopped to cheer on intrepid polar plungers, rode along boardwalk to Ft Tilde while our walkers visited original bungalows, restaurant row, Flight 587 memorial& walked through Belle Harbor.

NEWS: the city is implementing a new heat wave protocol for beaches. — Lifeguards will remain at their chairs until 8 pm when there’s a heat wave, but swimming will NOT be extended to 8, the lifeguards will just remain there for emergencies.
