Believers, we must guard against these spiritual dangers:
• The love of money and worldly comfort
• A prayerless life that relies on self
• An unforgiving heart toward others
We face temptations on three fronts:
The world wants to entice us,
The flesh wants to lead us astray,
The devil wants to lead us outside the will of God.
Kindness is a sincere desire for the happiness of others; goodness is the activity calculated to advance that happiness. Kindness is the inner disposition, created by the Holy Spirit, that causes us to be sensitive to the needs of others, whether physical, emotional or spiritual.
“Race is actually a social construct. The concept of race is not a biblical concept. It’s not a biblical idea. It is a constructed idea. You won’t find the idea of races in the Bible unless you find it in the proper historical context where we see number one that we are all the race of Adam, amen? One race, one blood.” — Voddie Baucham
Jesus not only bore our sins on the cross, He carried them away an infinite distance. He removed them from the presence of God and from us forever. They can no longer bar our access to God's holy presence. Now "we have confidence" to enter God's presence (Hebrews 10:19).
God doesn't exist to make all our earthly dreams come true. He saved us to make us holy and to use our lives for his global glory. Our main purpose is to know him and make him known.
Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. — Galatians 6:1

"For we know, brothers loved by God, that He has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction."
-1 Thessalonians 1:4-5
"The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit."
-John 3:8
“To be filled with the Holy Spirit means you are continually surrendering your will, mind, body, time, talents, and treasure—every area of your life—to His control.”
-John MacArthur
The realization that faith is the gift of God–not the result of the persuasion of the evangelist–should encourage us to pray with confidence. It means that no one, however hardened he or she may be, is beyond the regenerating, life-creating work of the Holy Spirit.
God has promised His people peace—but what if we don’t feel it?
Anxiety and depression are not necessarily a mark of weak faith. They’re a mark of the fall.

“If the whole function of the minister is ‘inspirational’ rather than ‘instructional,’ then, no doubt, we may dispense with all serious study of the Scripture.”
“But, if the minister is the mouth-piece of the Most High, charged with a message to deliver, to expound and enforce; standing in the name of God before men, to make known to them who and what this God is, and what his purposes of grace are, and what his will for his people—then, the whole aspect of things is changed.
“Then, it is the prime duty of the minister to know his message; to know the instructions which have been committed to him for the people, and to know them thoroughly;
“to be prepared to declare them with confidence and with exactness, to commend them with wisdom, and to urge them with force and defend them with skill, and to build men up by means of them into a true knowledge of God and of his will, which will be unassailable in the face of the fiercest assault.”
